the weight of more than 1500 tonnes at each end. You have just envisioned
The Kirkfield Lift Lock. This is a system which raises and lowers boats
a total of 14.9 m (about the height of a five-storey building) in a way
which makes visitors feel giddy with childlike delight. Take the time to
visit and see it all happen right before your very eyes

out something from the selection of books, souvenirs and charts.
The facility that house's the Gift shop was at
one time the watchmaster's watch house.
The Nautical Nook Gift Shop, is operated
by the Friends of the Trent-Severn Waterway

or crossover the roadway and have a meal at the Locks Nest restaurant.
